I purchased this awesome gaming dance mat to keep the kids active and entertained throughout the long winter months. We have had so much fun with it and have Created many fun family memories.Definitely a bit pricey but well worth it.I like The option to switch between “MTV” and cartoon. My children are 8, 9, 15, &16. I found Some of the content in MTV mode a bit seductive~ Luckily my kids are huge anime fans. The majority of the music in animated mode is Korean. This worked out well for us. The characters also resemble many of their favorite shows.(The music surpassed my expectations in this aspect)The graphics are also bright, crisp and vivid. the upgraded HDMI makes a huge difference.A bunch of fun games built in~ my 2 younger boys find the camera enabled ones the most fun.The color changing disco ball is a nice touch~ it’s bright, illuminates a large space and gives off a dance club type atmosphere~ Enhances the experience nicely. We’ve had our mat for approximately 3 months; it has become a staple of our family game night.I recommend reading The manual in its entirety to fully Utilize its capabilities. My daughter and Enjoy exercise mode on Saturday afternoons. Some awesome light yoga, aerobics and stretching sessions are built in. The game and scoring format makes it exciting. This turned out to be one of the best buys i’ve made in quite some time. Extremely happy customer.I bought this dance pad in January of 2022. I bought it for a group of teenage girls, ranging from 10 to 18. It was intended to replace a PS2 Stepmania dance pad. Here is my take on it:PROS: It does have some interesting games and extra activities besides just dancing. Sort of cool to see yourself on the camera during a few of the games. I had the pad on a tile floor and it didn't move around too much. As an "all-in-one" machine, it is interesting but has lots of limitations.CONS:CON #1 SONG SELECTION: VERY limited song options. The Amazon listing says there are 56 songs, but only 11 of those 56 are western MTV-style songs with known singers. There are also 22 so-called "Asian" MTV-style songs labeled in English and sung in Korean I assume. There are also 19 more MTV-style songs that are sung in Korean, but they are also LABELED in Korean. So, unless you speak Korean, even if you find a song you like, it is unlikely that you can ever find that song again without recognizing Korean letters. Then there are "cartoon" songs - danced and sung by animated characters. Seems to be about 100 of these. Of that 100, 12 cartoon songs are for very very young children. Not anything teenagers would enjoy. (As a side note, the MTV songs are pretty sexy and definitely not suitable for young children.) There are 18 "western" cartoon songs, 20 "Asian" cartoon songs with English titles but sung in Korean, 60 "Asian" songs with Korean titles, and Korean singing.CON #2: THE DANCE AREA: The pad does not have a raised area in the center of each footprint so it is a little hard to keep track if your feet are hitting the right spot.CON #3: CAMERA: The camera used during games can be pretty accurate. In particular, using the camera during the soccer game only accurately worked about 50% of the time.CON #4: YOGA: The yoga exercises are pretty cool concept, but to try to exactly follow each move by having your body press the right buttons has impossible. Better to just watch the moves and try to duplicate them without trying to score yourself.CON #5: DISCO LIGHT: The flashing disco light is really pretty useless and just distracting if you put it in front of you.CON #6: EDUCATIONAL GAMES - There was only one educational game that I found and it was a math game.OTHER OBSERVATION: 1) It really is worth reading the instructions for some games, otherwise you might never really figure out it works.2) There is some wording in the instruction manual that you can load your own songs on the TF card. It says you shouldn't expect much since there is no way for the machine to choreography unknown music - I tried to put a TF card with MP3 in the machine and it just scrambled the video and didn't play any of the music. There are almost zero instructions on how you can make this work, so not really worth making the effort to try unless you are a software engineer.BOTTOM LINE: If you really want to dance, then buy a Stepmania type dance pad with 1000s of songs (which will also require a PC / PSx / Xbox system to go with it). Otherwise, I think that all of the similar "all-in-one" dance pads on Amazon are almost exactly identical in their pros and cons. Probably all made at the same factory no matter what they are called. So fun , me and my son can work together, fun , he so happy
