These are perfect for my daughter to wear under her dresses. They are so soft that I kind of want some! They stretch easily but still retain their shape. That means it was very easy for my 4-year old to pull them on by herself, but they remained slim around her legs once they were on.They are thick enough that I would let my 4-year old play in the yard in just these, but I wouldn't let her wear them out and about. I don't think I've ever seen the shadow of an underwear pattern through these, except maybe with the white.My biggest concern when ordering them was that they would be bulky and create volume/lumps under her dresses. I have never noticed them, even under her super thin nightgowns.We have had them for a full school year, and they don't show any signs of wear yet
