I'm not a dancer, so I can't comment on how this works as a dance skirt. But I do like wearing skirts in general and I also play in a symphony orchestra, so I can say that for those purposes this skirt is super fun to wear. I like that it's very flowy and it moves so fluidly with you. I'm fairly short (5'3"), so this is quite long on me but not too long that I trip. It is very eye catching and it makes me feel so beautiful wearing it. The coverage is good as there's a few layers so you're never in any danger of exposing yourself on accident, but it isn't heavy whatsoever and very comfortable to wear. The fabric also seems to be of good quality as it feels sturdy yet soft. This has become one of my favorite skirts just to wear out.
